The introduction of Creative Commons had a great introduction through the blogging community. Many bloggers decided to publish their work under a Creative Commons license. But besides that, there are many bloggers that still decide to keep their work reserved, to prevent others from using (copying) it.

Basically the Creative Commons allow everyone to use the content someone else created, if there is a link back to the original content. There are multiple variations on the Creative Commons licenses, each with it’s own specific demands.

Everyone knows Flickr today, one of the largest sources of pictures where literally everone can upload their favorite pictures. But Flickr has some key features, which allows bloggers to get inspiration from it.

Flickr allows users to upload their picture under a Creative Commons license, which allows us (the bloggers) to use the picture in one or more of our blogs. I’ve done it several times and everytime I visit Flickr, the pictures give me tons of ideas for new articles. Read more »
For this new blog, I decided to post supporting images, in each of the posts. When you blog about airplanes it’s easy to post a picture of an flying airplane, but I tend to do it with a little more creativity. I enjoy picking a picture for a new blog post, but sometimes the picture picks me. When I see a picture, an idea for another post just comes up instantly.

The pictures need to let people think about the meaning behind it, but it also needs to be clear like a whistle what the connection between the post and the picture is. When people see a picture they need to feel the connection, but it should shake their brains up a bit before the complete thought behind it becomes clear. Read more »
