There are so many blogs in the world today, that it’s hard to stand out of the crowd and make your new blog popular. Today, we have to make sure there are several things worked out properly in order to make a blog work out.

Teamwork is something that has become more and more popular in the blogosphere lately and I’m also starting to let other people do some blogging. The largest blogs, with the most (quality) postings per week are blogs that have several skilled authors that works together as a great coordinated team.
Off course, as in nearly anything, there are several things to keep in mind when you start letting other people post their articles on your blog. Most of these things apply to using guest posters for your blog as it basically comes down to exactly the same idea. Read more »
My article about big money making blogs ended up with comments about over-crowded niches and the small chance that you will be successful in a niche that is completely stuffed with blogs and websites. If you want to make some money from blogging, there are several other parts of the Internet, which are ready to be used to gain a income.

If you’re a blogger in a over-crowded niche and you keep on struggling with earning a few dollars each month, you really should consider blogging about something else. Thousands of bloggers spend one day after another with writing articles that other bloggers have published before. Those articles won’t get noticed, but the enthusiastic bloggers keep on trying. The first month of blogging, here on Webhypes. We have posted some great content, if I may say so. From now on, we will post a ‘Best of’ at the end of each month. Each month we will highlight the posts that have been visited the most, or the articles that we are most proud of.

In the Best of February 2008 we will start of with highlighting the articles from the most popular categories. Off course, Blogging is category that we had to add in this list, since this was one of the main subjects through the last month.
In order to decide what post is the most popular, we are using the statistics and we take a look at the posts that scored high at social media. The readers opinion is also very important, so we take the discussion in the comments also in consideration. Read more »
On the great blog Problogger, a guest blogger asked the question; “Have blogs killed conventional websites“? To me, it’s pretty obvious why blogs have much more influence on the internet. We do need to keep in mind that this doesn’t apply to all blogs.

Most blogs won’t reach the status successful. But the blogs that do reach that status, have lots of people following, reading and interacting with the blog. And interaction is the keyword, which is why blogs have more influence and why blogs are more popular than conventional websites. Read more »

So you want to be a famous blogger, you want people to read about what you and share your knowledge? Good plan, here are some thoughts for starters. Mind you, they are just my thoughts, backed by my experience…

Feel free to disagree! It’s multitude of opinion that keeps the world interesting. Post a comment if you like and start the discussion. Discussion and comments are the key that keeps bloggers going and so they are to me. Read more »
Most visitors that enter a site on a specific page, don’t read the page (completely). Instead, they will scan the page for something they are looking for, or something they find interesting. If they don’t find anything that is worth taking some time to read, the page will be closed and the visitor is lost in cyberspace.
This event can be quite a frustration to a webdeveloper or content writer. You do want your visitors to actually read your content, not just scan around and leave the page again. In order to do this, you have to grab the visitors attention in the first few seconds of their visit.

In my previous articles, I’ve mentioned this before. In this article, we’re actually going to improve your pages and content. This will improve the time visitors spend on your pages, it will improve your popularity and besides that you can improve your income (if you want to earn money via the internet). Read more »
Millions of blogs in the world and every day hundreds of new blogs are launched. It takes skill and a piece of luck if you want to stand out of the crowd and make your blog succesful. But with a quality blog and some authority in the blogosphere, there are more options for you to think about.

Imagine yourself as an artist, I mentioned this before in “Blogging is like being an artist“. Today, there are lots of people who hire bloggers to work (and create content) for them. This could be a great chance for you as a blogger, to promote yourself and let people hire you. Read more »
A question that people keep on asking me all the time, since I implemented a phpBB forum inside my WordPress installation (on my Dutch blog). Reality is that people think different about forums, combined with blogs.

Many people think that a blog retains it’s quality, because it’s written by one person. Forums are for discussion and attract more people to give their opinion. That’s the reason why many people think a forum shouldn’t be used in combination with a blog.
But besides that, there are lots of people who think a forum is a great extra feature for a (successful) blog. Comments in blog tend to lose their overview, which keeps new visitors away from posting their comment. Threaded comments improve the readability of comments, but forums are way better in this part of discussion. Read more »
