Normally I’m not into gaming, but Lego Universe has something that makes my mind go around. Old times live on again. Who hasn’t played with Lego when you were in your childhood?

Toymaker Lego is trying to make the company stand out of the crowd, by implementing some features in the new to develop game, by merging the real world with the virtual reality world.
Players are able to customly build their Lego-creations in the game and afterwards they can order the creation to be build and delivered in real life! This is quite unique, I’ve never seen it in any other game!
Lego is cool
The game on itself is cool, who has never dreamed about creating (and perhaps destroying) a complete city out of Lego and than actually walk through the world? Well I have (maybe I still do), so this idea is really appealing to me. But the idea goes further.
Imagine yourself building a great racing car, play with it ingame and have it delivered a few days later. How cool can it be! The world of Lego is coming to our homes, not only via the game but with some new creations aswell!
Only one chance to success or failure
Lego has a pretty cool concept in their hands, with great potential. Now it’s up to the developers of the game and the toymakers to make it to a success. They will have only one shot, to prove that the concept will work out.
If the public will fall for the game and the possibilities, Lego Universe will always be referred to in reviews as the ’source of the idea’. If the game or the extended possibilities will fail, the concept will fail too and we will never hear about something like this again.

Why blog about a game?
This is a question I feel coming up at a lot of readers, at first I wasn’t sure why I should (or shouldn’t) blog about it. We are a blog about hypes on the internet and much more, but what about games…?
I think this game can be an example for other, new to build games and applications. The idea is new and innovative, so many fans of the toys will enjoy it. But there is more, what to think about the community of Lego-fans that is still building their own creations with the coloured bricks?
There are lots of people that still like building with the bricks and just can’t seem to manage their work with a computer, together with the toys. Now, with Lego Universe they can combine the best of both worlds!
A few thoughts aside
A webmaster truly realizes the importance of hosting as well as the domain names on the marketing. This is why in addition to web design and other layout points, now they will also be learning about pay per click programs.
